Mr. Posner’s practice is concentrated in the area of commercial insurance coverage litigation and counseling. He has represented liability insurers in diverse coverage matters across the country with respect to underlying claims involving products liability, antitrust violations, construction defects, business torts, and environmental violations.
Mr. Posner has also represented insurers in numerous consumer class actions concerning the marketing, underwriting, claims, and pricing practices of personal lines and group insurers. Outside of the insurance area, Mr. Posner has represented clients in litigation involving securities fraud, real estate, and RICO claims, and played a substantial role in litigating the largest government contracts dispute in history.
Prior to joining KCESD, Mr. Posner practiced as a partner at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP and Meckler Bulger & Tilson LLP. He also taught insurance law as a visiting professorial lecturer at the University of Florida College of Law.
Mr. Posner has been selected by peers for recognition by the Leading Lawyers Network® in the area of commercial litigation and in the area of insurance, insurance coverage and reinsurance law.
