edward fitzsimmons (fitz) dunne
Mr. Dunne is a commercial litigator whose experience includes both trial and appellate work in federal and state courts. He has extensive experience defending professionals, primarily lawyers, architects, structural engineers, professional engineers and other design professionals, owners, and contractors, in a wide array of disputes, including malpractice, construction defect, delay, and injury claims, fair housing/accessibility claims, mechanicís liens, and copyright infringement.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Dunne served as a law clerk to the Honorable George W. Lindberg in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He has also published a number of articles in various professional journals on a variety of topics, including professional liability and legal fee standard issues.
Mr. Dunne is a member of the American Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel, American Institute of Architects - Chicago Chapter, and Association of Licensed Architects. He also serves on the Commercial Litigation Committee, Judicial Evaluation Committee and Real Property, Construction and Mechanics Lien Subcommittee of the Chicago Bar Association.
