Blair L. Dawson
Ms. Dawson specializes in the areas of professional liability defense and
insurance coverage advice and litigation. Her experience also includes a
broad range of CGL and professional insurance coverage and defense areas
in both the domestic and London markets.
Ms. Dawson's focus is on errors and omissions coverage and litigation
management of matters involving accountants and auditors professional
liability, attorneys professional indemnity, architects and engineers
professional liability, employee benefits administrators professional
liability. She has also worked extensively in the areas of asbestos and
environmental coverage and litigation.
Ms. Dawson co-authored "Strategies for Insurers Resisting the Prepackage
Asbestos Bankruptcy Blitzkrieg," The National Forum for Environmental &
Toxic Tort Issues (October 2003) and "A Modern Analysis Under California
Law of Punitive Damages Available for an Insurer's "'Bad Faith'" (June
2004). She has authored "Know When To Hold 'Em, Know When To Fold 'Em:
Have A Game Plan For Addressing Contractual Liability As A Safety
Professional" (February 2014).
She was also recipient of the Best Advocate Award in the Intensive Trial
Advocacy Program and Competition Alternate in the Charles Evans Hughes
Moot Court Competition and National Law & Technology Trial Team.
Ms. Dawson is a member of Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS).
